Ben Simpson's Keynote

[Sep. 2022] A keynote event I shot which was a last-min job at a blockchain-related event to capture Ben's keynote in particular.

This was sort of a last-min gig as I got the job hour and a half before the start of the event. As a result, I was not adequately prepared and needed to rush packing up my gear. It was also my first time trying out my new toy, Instamic Pro, an all-in-one microphone and recorder. Arriving at the venue, I immediately met Ben, who offered me the gig and had just arrived as well. He was very casual and friendly, yet very wise and knowledgeable. He was really easy and comfortable to work with. Nonetheless, an unexpected thing happened. There was a tech issue with the Instamic Pro. It ended up couldn't record any of the speeches Ben gave. Fortunately, I had my shotgun mic on my camera as well as a backup. Thus, I still managed to capture audible sounds, although they were not as good as they could be.
