Cut and Run is the last short film I did with my friends before I moved over to Perth, Western Australia to study. I planned and visualized it using Cine Tracer after having fallen in love with it. I asked some other people from my high school to be my actors as it was completely no budget. It was a really fun project to do and we really enjoyed working together although was a little overwhelming since we had a really tight schedule and had to be really quick. We had only one day of rehearsal before shooting the film 3 days and 1 day of recording sounds for overdubbing. There were actually many challenges and difficulties I faced while shooting the film, especially as a cinematographer. This short is an action short film that required a lot of movement. However, I did not have a gimbal that was able to carry my Zcam. So, I had to do the whole short film handheld which was really tough. Personally, I do not like the final short film that much but I think the trailer is still alright in my opinion.
